Tummy Tuck
Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty or stomach lift) is a surgical procedure used to remove excess skin and fat from the lower and middle abdomen, and to tighten the muscles of the abdominal wall.
A tummy tuck may be right for you if you have:
- - Loose or weak stomach muscles due to aging or pregnancy
- - Sagging or excess skin in the abdominal area
- - Fat in the lower abdomen that is unresponsive to exercise
Tummy Tuck Procedure
The tummy tuck procedure consist of a horizontal incision that is made justabove the pubic area – designed to be hidden within the area normally covered by most underwear and swimsuits. The length of the incision will depend on the amount of excess skin to be removed. The loose muscles and connective tissue are then brought together then secured in their new position with stitches. Once the muscles are taut, the excess skin can be removed from the abdomen.
The results are a firmer, more toned abdomen and a trim waistline
