Spider & Varicose Vein Removal

Millions of people suffer from unsightly reddish vascular conditions. Although these imperfections are generally more of a cosmetic rather than a medical issue, many people would like to be rid of these unattractive veins and blemishes.

Vericose veins are defined as veins that are dilated, elongated and tortuous irrespective of size. The term usually refers to the veins of the legs. Varicose veins are distinguished from spider veins (telangiectasias) by the size and location of the veins, but both are a cause of valvular insufficiency.

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a non-surgical procedure used for varicose vein removal and spider vein removal from the legs. During the procedure, a sclerosing solution is injected into the veins through a micro-needle. The tiny needle generally causes very little pain. The sclerosing solution causes the vein to blanch (turn white), then gradually disappear. A typical treatment may last for 15 to 20 minutes and consist of multiple injections. Injection Sclerotherapy may elminate the need for an invasive surgical procedure.
