What a nose job is for

What a nose job procedure includes
A nose job procedure is typically an outpatient surgery. This means that it generally doesn’t require you to stay the night in the hospital. Before your procedure begins, you will be given general or local anesthesia. With general anesthesia you will sleep through the entire procedure and be extremely groggy when you wake up as the anesthesia effects wear off. With local anesthesia, you will be sedated and relaxed. Your nose will then be numbed so you do not feel any pain.
For the procedure, the surgeon will make incisions in the nostrils or may need to cut along the base of the nose. The inner bone and cartilage is then reshaped to create the nose shape you want.
Recovery
After your rhinoplasty procedure is completed, you may need to wear a nose splint for about six days. Bruising and swelling are common and a natural part of the healing process. After about day three, you will notice a decrease in swelling and bruising, but in some cases it can last for about three weeks. Make sure you do not participate in actives that cause excessive exertion. Take it easy and allow your body to heal fully and properly. Within about three weeks, patients can usually return to their normal activities without any noticeable signs of a nose job.
