These Foods will Leave your Skin Looking Great this Summer

Sunscreen may offer great protection for your skin, but the foods you eat can also have a valuable effect on maintaining a healthy hydrated look. Consider how you can incorporate the following foods, vitamins, and minerals into your diet this summer.
Silica
Silica is found in the connective tissues of the body including the muscles, hair, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, bone and nails. It is vital in maintaining healthy skin and elasticity. Mangos, celery, asparagus, and rhubarb are wonderful options if you want to add more silica to your daily diet.
Omega-3 fatty acids
If your skin feels inflamed, foods containing omeg-3 fatty acids offer a powerful remedy. Selenium
This antioxidant mineral gives the skin elasticity, acts as the protectant from sun damage and delays aging. Foods with this skin loving mineral include brown rice, pastured eggs, Brazil nuts, garlic, and wild salmon.
Green Tea
Green tea can help relive the inflammation caused by summer allergies. Green tea, blackberries, and blueberries all contain quercetin, which serves as en edible antihistamine.
