Surgical body contouring options
Dr. Armen Serebrakian and his team encourage patients to take the time to learn about the various ways they can enhance their body contours with surgical procedures. During a consultation visit, he will evaluate you and discus with you the options he may recommend. Below are just a few of the ways in which he may achieve the results you desire:
- Liposuction – liposuction is a surgical procedure during which unwanted areas of fat deposits are treated directly, removing fat cells through a tube called a cannula to extract them permanently. This can be done on areas of the body such as the stomach, thighs, buttocks, and flanks.
- Tummy tuck – addressing unwanted fat and excess skin in the abdominal area is easy with an abdominoplasty, or tummy tuck. This begins with liposuction to remove excess fat, and then ends with the removal of excess skin to tighten and firm the tummy area.
- Mommy makeover – the mommy makeover may include not only liposuction and a tummy tuck, but other surgeries such as a breast lift or breast augmentation. This allows women to address several parts of the body with a single surgery, saving time and money by consolidating surgeries and the healing process.
- Fat transfer – some patients may find that fat transfers allow them to remove unwanted fat from one area of the body and add it to another where volume is needed. The fat is harvested from a problem area and transferred to another problem area to create the shape and contours of the body that the patient desires.
